Instead of a large, traditional wedding, many couples are inviting fewer guests and putting their funds into what is most meaningful to them. In addition, micro weddings are being booked, planned, and enjoyed in a much shorter length of time.

What Are Some Unexpected Spots to Have Micro Weddings in Asheville? 

Micro weddings are not typically a common offering at larger wedding venues. We often suggest couples trying to keep costs as low as possible pick one of Asheville's scenic outdoor spaces, such as The Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest, and Lake Lure. 

If you're looking for a venue for a small wedding, the North Carolina Arboretum, with its beautiful gardens and natural areas, has an elopement package for 10 or fewer guests. Other venues that host micro weddings are Biltmore Estate, Omni Grove Park, as well as a variety of venues in downtown Asheville. Catering is another area that micro weddings are still prioritizing.  While many of Asheville's national parks do not permit food, there are multiple options for relocating the party to downtown Asheville.

Asheville is well known for its brewery and restaurant scene, so what better way to celebrate your wedding day than with good food and drinks? There are numerous brewery options with unique vibes and event-specific perks. Wicked Weed Funkatorium, Rhubarb, Buxton Hall BBQ, and Catawba Brewing are just a few examples.

Where Should Guests Stay After the Wedding?

While many wedding venues near Asheville offer onsite lodging, not all can accommodate guests. Not to worry! There are plenty of options, including bed & breakfasts, inns, hotels, vacation homes, cabins, and much more!
